Cosmetic Repairs under Tenancy
According to the leading decision by the federal social court Kassel from the 19.03.2008, beneficiaries of ALG II do not have to pay for cosmetic repairs out of their standard rate benefits of € 359.
The created expenses are seen instead as part of the cost of housing, which must be assumed by the welfare office additionally. An assumption of the expenses for cosmetic repairs due per rental agreement, such as painting, can be applied for accordingly.
