We followed this advice and went in search of Institutions in Neukölln which can offer concrete support to people in difficult living circumstances.
Our focus was on socially and financially disadvantaged citizens.
It is indisputable how quickly one can land in a difficult situation. Death or illness, loss of employment, debts to the landlord, the release from prison or an institution, psychological problems, addiction or the break-up of a relationship, loneliness, money trouble- can all frighten and constrain us.
Support by others, if only some advice, a conversation or an offer for a reasonably prized acquisition could possibly help. It is certainly worth looking out for help offered.
Don’t be discouraged by the many and possibly confusing variety of the offers!
The results of our research are just a sample of the many possibilities which different societies, self-help groups and institutions called into being.
